This Webinar is for Practitioners only

This webinar addresses three of the most common conditions seen by orthotists & pediatric physical therapists: toe walking, flat foot & In-toeing. It describes the relationship between skeletal modeling, history of use & somatosensory motor mapping. Specifically, frontal plane stability, base of support and muscle balance are explained. Correct assessment of foot progression angle, hip rotation and thigh foot angle are presented, concluding with a presentation of goals for orthoses.

The differences between growing pains and pain related to biomechanical etiologies are explained, including scientific evidence that supports the use of orthoses. In addition, the significance of ossification is identified, and the relationship between foot position and core recruitment is presented in a clinically relevant manner.
